Music Highway

A subsidiary to a weekly radio show of the same name, The Music Highway blog is dedicated to musicians everywhere who travel the creative road to musical fulfillment, either literally or figuratively and is a gathering place where these musicians can share their thoughts, comments, ideas, concepts, frustrations, successes and any other bits of information that will be encouraging to others traveling the same pathway.

Gregg Rivers Guests on Music Highway Tonight

Perhaps one of the most recognized voices over the airwaves in West Tennessee belongs to our guest tonight on the show. Gregg Rivers has done award-winning work in radio for several years now and wears a lot of other hats as well. Besides being the production director for Rock 92.3, it's sister stations Eagle 104.1 and NewsRadio 1390, in the Jackson, TN market, Gregg is a talented musician/vocalists as well.

Wes & I were honored to have Gregg as our guest on Music Highway this week (show airs Sunday, March 19, 2006, 9:00pm, on Rock 92.3).

Anytime Gregg is around you always know there is going to be a lot of laughter and, as we say here in the South, "acting a fool". We talked about the various bands Gregg has worked with, his radio career, and other topics that made for a informative yet entertaining show.

Ironically, though Gregg has been "on the air" as much as any other personality in this market it usually is in speaking voice only and not as a singer. On tonight's Music Highway that will change and you will get a chance to hear Gregg not only sing, but play the drums as well as we feature several songs he has recorded over the years.

Talented, crazy, never at a loss for words (that are usually funny as heck) all around super nice guy, Gregg Rivers stops by tonight for our ride down the Music Highway at 9:00pm on Rock 92.3. Tune in for a fun show. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the opportunity Ron & Wes! That was a big switch for me! Every other time I was the guy asking all the questions!
That was the fastest, most fun and interesting 60 minutes I've spent in a long time! I only hope the listeners dug it too!
I really think it's great you guys give locals a chance to be heard! Very cool of you both! Rock on my friends!
Your Pal
Gregg
