Music Highway

A subsidiary to a weekly radio show of the same name, The Music Highway blog is dedicated to musicians everywhere who travel the creative road to musical fulfillment, either literally or figuratively and is a gathering place where these musicians can share their thoughts, comments, ideas, concepts, frustrations, successes and any other bits of information that will be encouraging to others traveling the same pathway.

The Indie Minute with Daylle Schwartz

Over the past several weeks we have been featuring a segment on Music Highway called, "The Indie Minute with Daylle Deanna Schwartz". Daylle is a national author Wes & I interviewed a few months ago on the show while she was doing her book tour promoting her new book for musicians entitled, "I Don't Need A Record Deal: The Survival Guide For the Independent Music Revolution".

The book is terrific in itself and we had the idea of getting Daylle to provide weekly tips, etc. for our musician listeners and The Indie Minute was born. I recently recorded several new features with Daylle that are equally as informative and full of great advice for the serious musician as the first batch of features. Over the next several weeks we will be airing these features so listen for them. Daylle has a blog at: www.daylle.blogspot.com that is an ongoing log of her excellent advice to musicians so check it out as well.

Her website is: www.idontneedarecorddeal.com where you can check out her book of the same title. I can tell you from firsthand experience that the book is a powerful tool for any musician wanting to advance in their musical endeavors and career. Her practical, yet comprehensive advice is an excellent road map musicians, artists, and songwriters can follow to get the most from their music year after year.

Be sure to listen for The Indie Minute each week on Music Highway and as Wes always says, "On the music highway, don't be a hitchhiker...be a participant".
